Hey guys!

Since we launched our SherryStrong Facebook Live series, I’ve had lots of questions about my daily skincare products — everything from what creams I use on my face to what kind of toothpaste I use! This post covers pretty much everything I use, but if you have any questions, please comment below and I’ll try to answer as soon as possible! None of these companies has compensated me — these are all my own opinions!

For my face

The only products I really use on my face are Eminence Organics. It’s one of the few skincare lines I’ve found that uses organic, biodynamic ingredients, which are ingredients that are void of all chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

“Only natural medicinal herbs and mineral composts are used to enhance the soil and ignite powerful growth forces in the plants from roots to tips.” My favorites are the Tropical Vanilla Day cream because it has an SPF 20 in it and the Minnoi Night Cream. I use the Acai Berry Cleanser at night, which smells amazing!

They aren’t cheap products, but they last forever!! All you have to do is add a pea-sized amount to your hand and then emulsify it with a few drops of water. It’s all very concentrated, so you only need a little bit at once! If you don’t want to splurge and spend the money on Eminence, just using organic coconut oil as a moisturizer is great for certain skin types, too! As a moisturizer on my body, the only thing I use is organic coconut oil. It is the best all natural body lotion you can use!

My favorite deodorant

For deodorant, I only use Evelyn Kay Club. It’s the only non-aluminum deodorant I’ve found that doesn’t make me stink even after a workout! You can ship it right to your mailbox every 4-6 weeks for only $9.95, and for every tube you purchase, EKC donates one tube to a charity! Win-Win!

I’ve tried so many different toothpastes and there aren’t many I love. I recently tried doTerra’s new toothpaste and it’s pretty good — I just like making my own!

Here’s my homemade toothpaste recipe, which is super easy to make!

  • 1/2 cup organic coconut oil
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of baking soda
  • 2 small packets of stevia powder (optional)
  • 15-20 drops of peppermint essential oil

Melt or slightly soften coconut oil. Mix in other ingredients and stir well. Put in a small glass jar, let cool completely.

Nontoxic bubble bath

I used to take bubble baths ALL the time! I love to take a hot bath and had no idea how many chemicals I was soaking in every night. Did you know it only takes 26 seconds for a chemical to enter your bloodstream once it’s been put on your skin?! Scary right?? I still take my hot baths at night to help me sleep and soothe my muscles, but now I use 1 cup of Epsom Salt, 1/4 cup baking soda and 20 drops of lavender. Sometimes I’ll add a little coconut oil if my skin is really dry. Trust me, it smells and feels amazing!!

Introducing you to my favorite experts!

If you head over to the SherryStrongOC Facebook page, I did a Facebook Live session the other night with essential oil guru Carol Lindsey Baker! We talked all things essential oils, like which oils you can use on your skin, which oils relieve stress, which ones help migraines and more. We posted some all-natural facial masks with oils and several other recipes you may find useful in your home!

Stay tuned for my next blog on what I eat in a day and how I keep my diet alkaline through greens and juicing!

Stay Strong and Healthy!

xoxo
